EXPERTISE

The level of expertise you can expect from a Chartered Physiotherapist is of a very high standard. All Chartered Physiotherapists have to complete a rigorous 3 year honours degree which includes 1000 clinical hours. Physiotherapy is a protected title so each practitioner must be registered with the HPC (Health Professions Council). You can check the HPC HPC Check to determine if a Physiotherapist is registered.

CPD (Continued Professional Development) is mandatory for all Chartered Physiotherapists where further education enables us to increase our skills and knowledge.

Garry Tucker has a Masters in the Science of Sports Injury, an Honours Degree in Physiotherapy, Post Graduate Diploma in the Science of Sport Injuries, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy. Garry is actively involved in physiotherapy research and has recently carried out research on the biomechanics of the lower limb (pending publication). He is also state registered with the Health Professions Council (HPC), a member of The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), a member of The Organisation of Chartered Physiotherapists in Private Practice (OCPPP) and a member of The Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine (ACPSM)

Garry  has experience working in an NHS out-patients department and has worked within professional rugby in the premiership and at county and club level. He has also worked both home and abroad at major international sporting events and continues to be involved with club rugby.
